One of Nicole’s friends sent her a game called hedbanz. The concept is easy, you stick a card in your headband without looking at the card and then you ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what is on your card. Or until time runs out and then the next person goes. For English class one day, we decided to play it with the kids..in English (with a little Albanian).
The youngest girl started to catch on to the concept by the end of the game. (To be fair, Albanians don’t really have games like this to play and they don’t do thins like this in school) For her first three guesses, she skipped asking questions and went straight to guessing…what the other four of us had on our cards! Then she guessed random things. When her time was up and it was one of our turns, she would tell us what was on our cards and get really excited that she knew! Luckily, after a few times, she stopped doing that.
But by the end of the game, she was asking a few questions and figured out quite a few of her cards.
All the girls liked this game and we played for over an hour! The girls got to practice their English and Nicole & I learned some new Albanian words. That’s what I call a win win!
