Kruja

This week we are learning the history of the Balkan region. Yesterday, to kick things off, we went to Kruja, about an hourish away. We were able to visit two museums and learn about Albanian’s most famous hero, Skanderbeg.

In a nutshell, he was taken as a kid and trained in the Turkish army (who had control over Albania). He came back when he was a little older and helped lead the Albanian people to their freedom.

Like I said…a nutshell. You can google more details if you wish…

If you want to see some pictures from our little adventure, feel free to check them out over on my photography blog: www.khawkinsimages.com/blog

If you just want to see me doing my thing then check this out. Then check out the other photos…
